We had the pleasure of dining at L&rsquo;Acqua Salata in Civitavechia. It was probably the best meal we have had in Italy since being here a week mostly in Rome. The restaurant is best known for its seafood and you can certainly understand why. Attention to detail in the preparation of the basics which make up the sauces are fantastic. I had a wonderful fish soup and it ranked up there with the best. Do yourselves a favor if you like seafood and treat yourself to a meal at L&rsquo;Acqua Salata!

Great atmosphere and great service (minus wine understanding). The issue we had here was expectations and so maybe the issue is ours alone. We&#39;ve been to Michelin rated restaurants (ranging from a mention to 3 stars). The food at Forma was very good, but just not at the level similar to previous rated restaurants we&#39;ve been to before. That being said, the bill was 1/5 what we have paid before (1/15 in the case of Alinea) although it did cost $5k to get to Italy). Everything we had was with truffles and our expectation was the normal bold and delicious black/white truffle flavor. In this case they were present, there was A LOT of them, but that distinctive flavor was not there. It&#39;s likely that there&#39;s a difference between what we&#39;re used to and what this was and we&#39;ll accept that as immaturity. Nonetheless, I would recommend Forma, just with minor reservations (don&#39;t ask for wine advice)

Great meal, made reservations based on reviews and was pleased with the value,  had rib eye steak, pasta as appetizer,, house wine 1/2 liter was 6 euro and good!

The service was amazing, food was to die for.  Great view of the harbor and castle.  The mussels were amazing, the grilled octopus was perfect.  Highly recommend if you are in town.

An excellent local restaurant located very near the central shopping district.  Food was spectacularly good and fresh.  Specials highlighted locally sourced seafood.  Service was attentive and friendly.  Outside seating was most enjoyable.  Highly recommend.

We are so happy that we dined at this restaurant! My mother and I had a fantastic time!. The food and service were incredible and if we&rsquo;re ever in Civitavecchia again we will definitely eat here! The seafood appetizer was delicious and visually appealing.. my friends back home are in awe of my shared IG photos &hellip;if only they could taste the food!

Just a great fresh fish restaurant where the chef keeps new dishes coming out monthly. Always love a restaurant that can switch up a dish for the customer. A wonderful way to begin or end a cruise in this port city.

Outstanding service and cuisine with Angelo orchestrating a memorable dining experience! We will definitely return if our travels bring us through again
